PAX Cooperation Camillo Award of the BVRD.at

BVRD.AT

With the Camillo Award the BVRD.at, PAX and other chosen cooperation partners put emphasis on the achievements and services of all paramedics in Austria ragardless of their employment relationship or organisation.

Beeing a paramedic is a very demanding job. Every day they are at the front at sites of accidents and other real life situations.  They are quiet observers at the pulse of society and human catastrophies. Hardly noticed when they are not needed - the option without alternatives in dramatic situations. Paramedics also experience personal stress during the care, support and transport of patients with injuries, illnesses or poisonings. They encounter all human emotions, including compassion, aggression, despair, love and hope. Only rarely do they receive thanks and recognition for this. The aim is to bring outstanding commitment to the preclinical care in the interests of the Austrian population before the curtain and reward it.

The "Camillo Award" is a special distinction for committed colleagues who have committed themselves to high-quality preclinical care in Austria through their commitment and humanity. Because it's about human lives.

The name "Camillo Award" goes back to Camillo de Lellis, the patron saint of paramedics. For further information: https://www.bvrd.at/index.php/award
