The PAX P5/11 emergency rucksack, now in its new Generation 2.0, can be customised to suit individual needs: from the main body to the accessories.
Just like a modular system, it allows for the creation of a vast array of different configurations required by ambulance services or the fire brigade. This means that emergency personnel can configure the rucksack to suit their specific needs – or retrofit it later should their requirements change. At no extra cost.
Flexibility right from the main body
- Two materials
- Three sizes
- Four colours
Two materials
Those prioritising maximum weight savings can choose the main body made from the lighter PAX-Rip-Tec. Where a difference of 300 or 500 grams is not a concern, the even more robust, thicker PAX-Tec with a particularly smooth surface is ideal for the toughest conditions.
Three sizes
To cater for varying space requirements depending on the area of operation, the main body is available in sizes M, L and XL. All three are the same height and width, but differ in depth.
PAX Emergency Rucksack P5/11 M – 2.0
M – the smallest version of our rescue rucksack: the main compartment can be flexibly fitted with modular pockets. The lid compartment has space for a lid module or a centre partition.
Specific features
- Flexible adaptation to the area of use with modules
- Quick access to contents
- Easy to clean
Inside, the rescue rucksack is individually configured for the specific application using the appropriate modular pockets.
Strong magnets integrated into the body material hold the modules securely in place – using a predefined grid. This allows the modular pockets to be lifted out of the rucksack in a single movement and placed in the desired position just as easily when packing. The absence of Velcro further simplifies disinfection: the entirely smooth interior surfaces can be wiped clean quickly and easily. Only in the body made from the lighter PAX-Rip-Tec is the contents secured using lightweight retaining flaps instead of magnets, to keep the weight down.
Four colours
The main body is available in four colours – depending on the intended use or internal specifications: fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange, red or blue. To ensure that emergency personnel are more easily spotted with their PAX bag, even in bad weather and in the dark, five areas of the main body are fitted with reflective material.

Overview of accessories
Functional modules are pouches designed for specific operational scenarios, such as diagnostics, intubation, oxygen transport or air rescue.
Transparent modules are suitable for freely configuring the medical rucksack, but also for easily adapting it to changing operational scenarios. These modules are filled as required depending on the application. The transparent lid provides an overview of the entire contents at a glance. The transparent materials used for the lids and insert compartments for labelling are robustly designed, so they do not crease easily or become opaque.
With a selection of dividers, the transparent modules can be customised internally to suit personal preferences. Depending on requirements, you can choose dividers with either additional smaller transparent pockets, fixed or adjustable loops, or a combination of loops and pockets.
To make optimum use of the space in larger transparent modules and to organise the contents, the bag can be divided into segments using internal dividers.
The sturdy handles are extra-wide. This makes them quick and easy to grip during use and allows even heavy modules to be lifted out and carried comfortably. They are simply slid onto the fluorescent yellow mounting strips on the modules. The strip ensures a secure fit and makes it easy to attach and replace the handle as required.
The handles also serve for colour-coding and labelling
