Description
PAX Vacuum Mattress – Mummy-Mat in the longer Plus version
With the PAX Vacuum Mattress – Mummy-Mat – Plus – Handles and Head Restraint, we have modelled the design on the shape of the body, forming it into an oversized ‘V’. In this Plus version, the mattress is 230 cm long.
The extra ‘V’ width, due to the greater span from the pelvis onwards, allows for improved patient securing. It can be moulded around the patient beyond the sides; the patient is secured or immobilised using the colour-coded restraint straps. The strap and carrying loop eyelets are heat-sealed from the inside to ensure a smooth surface and facilitate easier cleaning. The material of the carrying handles is completely closed-cell. The snap buckles are fitted to the sides of the mattress to prevent pressure sores on the patient.
As part of a nationwide standardisation initiative, we have developed this product to customer specifications and had it approved as a medical device. We have met the specific requirements regarding weight and storage volume by utilising PAX materials, a special compartment layout and the patented head restraint. An individually adjustable strap extension and the matching carry bag are included as standard.
